I wrote songs with Mike Pinera. He was one of the founding members of Blues Image and co-wrote the groups biggest hit "Ride Captain Ride." When the group broke up Mike joined Iron Butterfly and replaced the original lead guitarist. Here we are in the recording studio It is interesting to note the musician with the beard and glasses in the left side of the picture is John Limesider. He played keyboards for Mike's band. Many years later we were to meet again at Temple Emanu El were we were both members. |

My wife Terri and I went to the Rhino Records Retro Festival in Santa Monica Ca. We noticed Spencer sitting at the next table with Knack drummer, Buce Gary, I had met Spencer when he was working for Island Records. He founded the Spencer Davis Group. They had numerous hits in the mid 60's including "Gimme Some Lovin" and "I'm A Man." |
